The horizon is a limit which, if you move the point of view, will move with it. It expresses the magic of synthesis. In fact, at that very moment in which we designate a border, we open to infinity. The project by Francesca Marconi originates from the urgency to use artistic processes to investigate and re-enact the geopolitical and social dynamics related to the themes of nation, migration and borderscape. The research aims to create a collective representation of a new world, where real locations meet with poetic and symbolic spaces and identities cross the boundaries to create a new Pangea. With a participatory methodology, Francesca has been working with migrants and communities to create and collect new images, rituals, maps, words and scriptures; gradually taking the shape of a reunified and syncretic landscape.
